OUR PROGRAMS AND SERVICES
Alzheimer's Respite & Resource (AR&R) is a non-profit agency serving families in Beaufort and Jasper Counties in South Carolina who struggle with the devastating effects of Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. Alzheimer's Respite & Resource offers a Social Day Program for those with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.
The day program operates five days a week, Monday - Friday, from 10 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. at All Saints Episcopal Church, 3001 Meeting Street, Hilton Head, S.C. 29926
Social Day Program
The ARR social day program engages participants in both mental and physical stimulation through music, drama, art, yoga, exercise and mind-stimulating games. It also breaks down barriers of social isolation by providing camaraderie and fellowship.
Activities include:
- Socialization
- Art therapy
- Exercise such as yoga and dancing
- Music therapy
- Drama
- Pet therapy
- Mind challenging games
- Hot meals
- Intergenerational programs with school-aged children
- Storytelling and creative writing

Brain Boosters Program
A weekly pro-active program for seniors concerned about early memory loss.
Thursday from 2:30-4:30pm. Classes are on-going through out the year, please call for the current schedule.

- AR&R also provides respite and support to caregivers by offering support groups, family meetings, resources and referrals,information and education.
- AR&R also serves the community by offering free speakers and presentations, educational materials, referrals and a lending library.
CAREGIVER SUPPORT GROUPS
Alzheimer's Respite & Resource (AR&R) offers support groups for caregivers in a confidential, compassionate venue. Our support groups are a safe place to share heartache, grief, frustrations, common experiences and resources. For more information for caregivers click here.
